National Volunteer Week morning tea 2014

Do you want to make a contribution that will make a difference?
Do you want to make a difference to people with ME/CFS and related conditions?
Are you looking for professional experience?
Would you like to be with like-minded people?

Do you want to make an impact?

Then volunteering is the right step.
We are a very small team at Emerge Australia.  With just 3 staff, two of whom work part-time, we are very grateful to our volunteers to help us make an impact where ME/CFS and people affected by this condition are concerned.  Volunteers come in all shapes and sizes with all sorts of different experience – and looking for all different experiences.
We have an amazing team of community engagement volunteers who work directly with our members and the general public raising awareness, providing information and providing much needed support in the community.  We also have some wonderful communications volunteers who help us to keep our information up to date, work on our social media, write articles and source news for our website.  And our administrative volunteers help keep the office and our databases ticking over nicely.
There’s a great variety of things to be done and if you’re looking to help out you can check for specific volunteer roles available.
If none of the specific roles suit you, might be interested in joining in our peer support program as a peer leader, or becoming one of our community awareness or fund raisers.
Or, you can simply submit a volunteer application form to register your interest in volunteering in general and let us know a bit about yourself and what you’d like to do.
If you’d like to read more about what it’s like to volunteer at Emerge Australia, you can read some of the stories from our current and past volunteers.
